Lag guitar Lag Guitars is a French music company founded in the Occitania region of France, by master luthier Michel Lâg-Chavarria. Lag is most popular for its guitars (e.g. the Lâg Roxane and the Tramontane acoustic series). Lag has produced guitars since 1980, starting with Beast superstrat models. For over 20 years, Lag guitars have been the choice of guitar players throughout Europe. Designed in a small custom shop in the south of France, Lag guitars are the perfect alchemy of thoughtfully matched components, carefully selected tonewoods and custom-designed electronics voiced to capture the natural sound of each guitar. Phil Campbell of Motörhead uses a Lag guitar.
